9:00-9:40
Pauline Le Bel
presents:  "Sing Two Songs and Call Me in the Morning"
Part concert, part exploration: a joyful experience of the wisdom tradition of music and its recent scientific validation as medicine for the future. Pauline’s warm primordial embrace of a voice electrifies and zestifies with her cosmological, earthy and often interactive songs.

Pauline has had a long and successful career as a cabaret singer, songwriter, screenwriter, novelist, playwright, actor, festival organizer, and vocal coach. Her passionate voice has been heard in theatres and concert halls across Canada, in the U.S. and the U.K. She has released three CDs of her original songs and is currently recording the fourth – a collection of her gospel songs dedicated to Earth. Reviewers called her "a musical instrument linked to a soul" for her dramatic portrayal of French chanteuse, Edith Piaf in a play she wrote. She has received international writing awards, including a coveted Cable Ace Award and an Emmy nomination for The Song Spinner, a subversive yarn about the transformative power of music. Her cosmo-logical musical, Voices in the Sound, garnered praise from audiences and scientists alike. She is honored to be part of a growing community working (and playing) to integrate art, nature, science, soul and spirit.

“Evolution and the Global Integrity Crisis”

Michael Dowd
and his wife, Connie Barlow, an acclaimed science writer, have spoken to more than a thousand groups over the past 7 years, as America's evolutionary evangelists. At home in both liberal and conservative settings, and uniquely gifted at building bridges between religious and nonreligious people, his passion is showing how an understanding of 'our brain's creation story' as given by evolutionary psychology and neuroscience can inspire each of us to live with greater integrity, and  all of us to work together toward a thriving future for planet Earth and the body of life of which we are part.
